• You need a Remote Desktop (RDP) to work with graphical applications.
• You use software that only runs on Windows (e.g., 1C, CRM systems, accounting programs).
• You develop applications for .NET, ASP.NET, or use Microsoft SQL Server.
• You need a server for an RDP farm, terminal access, or RemoteApp publication.
• You want a familiar Windows graphical interface for server administration.

In other cases, for most web projects, it is faster and more cost-effective to use a Linux VPS. Choose a Windows VPS when you truly need compatibility with Microsoft technologies or a graphical desktop.
